2015 is in full swing and the year is quickly moving along. There are several movies that have been released or will be coming out soon that have everyone buzzing.

One of the movies that has premiered is American Sniper. This film is Clint Eastwood's most popular directorial debut, thusfar. It is based on the autobiography of Chris Kyle, who was the mostly deadliest sniper in US military history. He served four tours of duty and returned home to his family only to encounter difficulty transitioning back to civilian life. This film is controversial because some claim that is glorifies war while the movie has also garnered Academy Award nominations. So it it is definitely one to check out.

The next movie that has everyone salivating for it's release is Fifty Shades of Grey. This movie is based on the erotic novel by E.L. James. It's the first feature film in the trilogy of novels by the author. It's about a young college literature student, Anastasia Steele, who interviews a upcoming multi-national business tycoon, Christian Grey. Anastasia is quickly enraptured by Grey and falls deep into his twisted and passionate love affair. With bondage and S&M this film has everything to heighten you sexual senses, plus it premiers on Valentine's day.

And the last film that is a must see on your movie list is Selma. This movie is a historical biopic based 1965 equal voting rights marches led by James Bevel, Hosea Williams and M.L.King of the SCLC and John Lewis of the SNCC. The movie is directed by Ava DuVernay and is critically acclaimed with nominations received by the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards. Yet the movie was totally snubbed by the Oscars causing a social media blitz to point out the fact that the Oscar nominations went exclusively to mostly white films with white actors/ actresses. Ummmm hmmmm, interesting.
