Well it is time to rip the runway because it is New York Fashion Week!!!! Models & moguls, fashionistas & fashion editors, Holllywood insiders and celebrities have converged into the NY metropolitian area and set their sights on attending fashion's elite premieres of the spring/ summer/ fall collections for 2016. What to expect??? What's not to expect??? Girly, Sleek, Punk, Futuristic or Hobo-chic. Kate Spade, Alice & Olivia, Kanye and Marc Jacobs are several designers that stood out amongst the bevy of shows the were featured at NYFW 2016.

Transform spring onto the set of Kate Spade's show, which was swarmed with 30,000 flowers from FTD. Kate Spade's collection was a modern take of Easter morning intertwined with Breakfast at Tiffany's. She had feminine sillhouettes with mixed and matched florals, ribbon stripes with fun spring colors. Not to mention the accessories were super adorabale and as sweet as candy. Absolutely, love, love, love...

Alice & Olivia teleported us back to the era of the late 70's in NYC with her fall collection. The theme of the collection was ode to vintage HBO's Vinyl splashed with artsy girl power. Just pictue if Mary Tyler Moore and Pam Grier had a love child. LOL. Geometric shapes, technicolor prints and bold autumn colors True to her formula, Bendels's key pieces were impeccably tailored; from structured pussy bow blouses to embellished evening gowns in floral embroidered sequins.. I was always a fan of hers and this is exactly the reason why.

Now what is NYFW without the spectacle of Kanye and the entire Kardashian clan. The front rows, of course was star studded - Drake, Common, Courtney Love and "my boyfriend in my head" Michael Strahan were all in attendance. The collection had a dusty military vibe mixed with a Mad Max center. And was delivered to the audience in manner in which only Kanye can pull off - totally over the top. Kanye debut his new album "The Life of Pablo" while hundreds of models marched like drill sergeants with solemn stares. Two words.... Very Interesting.

Marc Jacobs ended NYFW 2016 with a show to close out shows. And it left many in attendance in awe and totally astounded. Completely transformed, Jacobs gave us Lydia from Bettlejuice integrated with Sweeney Todd. Marc took us to the dark side of fashion. His collection had everything from black sorority sweatshirts with sparkling spider webs to glittering sequined rats chasing their tales around Victorian coats. Finger waves, dark eye make-up & liips and oversized platforms were the standard for the models, including Lady Gaga. Wowsers!!! Overall, I felt it was reminiscent of another designer, Ricardo Tisci. Jacobs has proven to his critics that he doesn't fit the mold, instead he broke it and recreated another out of it's ashes. Kudos to you Marc. I am totally in reverance on you ability to transform. Love, love and LOVE!!!!
