Well it is that time of year again, the Oscars of the East Coast aka Met Gala aka Metropolitan Museum of Art Institute Benefit Black Tie Extravaganza. You already the A list celebrities showed up and most definitely showed out. This year's exhibit for the gala was "Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology". And the party was hosted by Anna Wintour, editor/ chief of Vogue and also the chairwoman of the gala as well as Jonathan Ive, chief design officer of Apple, Idris Elba and Taylor Swift.

Since 1999 Wintour has been at the helm of the ship for the Met Gala. She has made it one of the most coveted events to attend by only extending invites to creme de la creme of Hollywood's elites and privileged upper echelon from around the globe in the fashion, film, political and business arenas. With the price of a ticket at $30,000 and a table at $275,000 as well as the required nod from Anna Wintour herself, so even if you can afford it doesn't mean that you will be in attendance. Basically, there is a waiting list just to be on the invitation list to attend this Superbowl of soirees . Just to name a few of her hand picked invitees: Lady Gaga and Blake Lively to Nicole Kidman and Lupita Nyongo to Nas and Derek Jeter. and the list goes on and on - over 600 guest in attendance. A few that I took notice of their theme inspired outfits...

Beyonce rocking a heavily embellished, second-skin nude Givenchy gown and mega Lorraine Schwartz jewels missing was her hubby Jay Z. #lemonade

Bella Hadid and the Weeknd were the perfect match in all black wearing Givenchy.

While Kim and Kanye were a part of the Balmain army in star studded silver.

There was no sibling rivalry when Jaden Smith, profiling in Louis Vuitton, and Willow Smith, styling in Chanel and Louboutin, hit the red carpet.

Lala, sporting a Nicolas Jebran plunging neckline shades of red gown and Jimmy Choo heels, while her partner in crime Carmello Anthony, rocked a white tux, and all heads did a double take as they shut it down. Love watching all invitees cross the red carpet at the Met Gala because they are always stunning can't wait to find out next years theme and watch and take notes...
