The summer is officially here and the kids are out of school. It's time to head down the shore to the beach or pull up on a cookout or hit a day party. A quick run through some of the hottest summer trends is mandatory to stay ahead in the fashion race. One summer must-have are designer flip flops Now Future's song "Thought it was a Drought" ignited the trend with lyrics about Gucci Flip Flops - you can fill in the blanks. Lol. Flip flops are super comfy, and have varieties of styles to choose from, as well as they are popular amongst fashionistas both male and female alike. A little pricey for flip flops but some of us take this fashion thing very seriously and are will to shell out a pretty penny to do so.

The next notable trend this summer are chokers, which are revamped from the 90's. But aren't all fashion trends recycled? Pretty much. Well this season's trend is being sported by almost every IG model, fashion blogger and celebrity starlet. The trend is taking off quickly because chokers are delicate, and have unique styles and they also have an edgy "rock & roll" vibe.

It can't be summer without a jeans, whether their high waisted hot pants, low riding knee shorts or boyfriend jeans - the more distressed - the better. This was really a trend from last year but it is still popping off this year. And it can be dressed up in a chic way with heels or a blouse or dressed down in a tank with flip flops. Either way you can't go wrong with distressed jeans.

And the summer trend that I can't forget are T- plunge lace up tops, bodysuits and dresses. This trend popped up in early spring and is in full swing. Again, there are multiple styles and varieties for any body type. Secondly, and namely is the cleavage. If you want to keep it sexy while being fashionable, then this is definitely a must have in your summer wardrobe.
