MKUU SPRING 2017 MUST-HAVES

I truly pray that the snow is gone until next winter because we are officially into spring 2017. I can't wait for Easter, music festivals and warm weather. With the changing of the season, it's time to switch up your wardrobe. No more dark sweaters and heavy winter coats. It's is time for pretty pastels, lovely lace and cool cottons. Although, I must admit Fall is my favorite time of the year - Spring is next on the list, as far as my favorite seasons are concerned. When it comes to changing up your attire from the past year's spring season you don't have to reinvent the wheel. Just add a few critical pieces to your existing ensembles and it will feel like you have an entire brand new spring wardrobe. Here are the must have to add to make it do what it do for Spring 2017.

HOT PANTS

I love when they recycle throwbacks because when it is really hitting, it never goes out of style. My mother wore them, I wore them as a kid, and now, to much delight and pleasure, they are back. You can play them up with chunky platforms or sexy stilettos. Or play them down with sneakers or flip-flops. Either way you can't go wrong.

STRIPES

I love stripes. They are an easy addition to the wardrobe because, well... who doesn't like stripes in the Spring??? LOL And in every direction - horizontal or diagonal, chunky or pin-stripes even color blocking is cool with me. Just as long as the colors are bold and bright. But be mindful, if you are on the thicker side then make sure you try on before you purchase. You don't want be walking around looking like a chunky monkey. And not the ice cream. LOL. One of my favs are the Rugby stripes, reminds me of my memorable high school years when I rocked so much Benetton and Polo, you would have thought I was a spokesperson.

Shirts are making a total comeback, as if they ever left. Ha Ha!!! But not just any standard button down shirt, uniqueness scores points in this department. A definite must-have in your spring wardrobe for 2017. Whether it be one-shoulder split-shirt tops, shirt-dresses with graphic lines and oversize shapes or with extended sleeves or over-sized sweat shirts. There are so many variations, that you really can't go wrong - especially if it's different.

i am the type of girl whose pocketbook can never be too big, since it contains everything but the kitchen sink. So I am loving this spring trend for the sheer fact that designers are adding so many different varieties of bags that we can choose from. Whether you are like me, be prepared so you don't have to get prepared or desire a larger bag because you need a change of clothes after the gym. You will be pleasantly surprised at all of the options this season.
